Stephan Höpner
Stephan Höpner (* around 1580 in Penzlin , Mecklenburg ; † August 22, 1628 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a German cantor and composer in Frankfurt (Oder).
Live and act
Stephan Höpner was registered at the University of Frankfurt (Oder) in 1600 . In 1605 he became cantor in Mùncheberg . In 1614, Höpner became cantor at the Marienkirche in Frankfurt (Oder), as the successor to Bartholomäus Gesius , whose music influenced his compositions.
Congratulations, wedding and funeral music from Stephan Höpner have been preserved as compositions for choir.
