Career

Stephan Hampel began playing handball at TSV Owschlag in his youth , back then as a field player . Only since he moved to SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the B-Jugend did he only play as a goalkeeper . He ran several seasons with the second team of the SG in the regional handball league and in the newly created third division in the 2010/11 season . When Flensburg was relegated at the end of the season, Hampel left the club and joined SV Henstedt-Ulzburg , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd handball league in 2012 , but was immediately relegated again after only one season. After the SVHU Handball GmbH, which is responsible for the game operations of the SV, filed for bankruptcy in January 2014, he moved to the second division club TSV Altenholz . From the 2014/15 season to the end of the 2016/17 season, Hampel played with Altenholz in the 3rd division.
