Stephan Hertz

Stephan Hertz (born July 19, 1967 in Hamburg ) is a German entrepreneur and co-founder of the Miniatur Wunderland model railway system .

Life

Stephan Hertz was born in Hamburg in 1967. The son of Brigitte Hertz-Jirka (née Leinisch) and Carl Joachim Hertz, he comes from an old Hamburg merchant family. The oldest proven ancestor is Adolph Jacob Hertz (born 1800). Stephan Hertz has a younger sister (Corinna Hertz) and a younger brother (Sebastian Hertz).

In 1990 he founded the Voila discotheque with his business partners Frederik Braun and Gerrit Braun and in 1996 the techno and trance label EDM Records . EDM Records celebrated several chart successes in the following years.

In 2000 the three founded the Miniatur Wunderland together with Jochen W. Braun , the father of Frederik and Gerrit Braun. As managing director, Stephan Hertz is still responsible for the company's entire website. Because of the high social commitment of the three managing directors, they were awarded the Federal Cross of Merit in 2010 .
