Jochen W. Braun

Jochen W. Braun (born October 29, 1942 in Hamburg , long: Jochen Waden Braun ) is a German businessman , author of books about aviation accidents and co-founder of the Hamburg Miniature Wonderland .

Braun was interested in aviation from an early age . However, due to his fear of flying, which came to light on his first big flight, he created a large database of aircraft accidents, which today includes over 45,000 entries. Using this database, he wrote several books on aviation accidents.

Braun is the father of three sons. Together with his sons Frederik and Gerrit and their business partner Stephan Hertz , he founded the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, which is considered the largest model railway in the world and attracts numerous tourists.
