Stephan Jersch (born January 27, 1963 ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and member of the Hamburg parliament .

biography

Jersch was a member of the SPD from 1980 and a member of the DKP from 1982 . In 1990 he joined the PDS , from which Die Linke emerged. In the federal election of 2002 , he ran as a direct and list candidate in the Stade district . From 2004 to 2010 he was a member of the Bergedorf district board PDS or Die Linke. From 2008 to 2014 he was parliamentary group leader of the Left in the Bergedorf district assembly . In the 2015 general election , he received a mandate from the state list.

On February 23, 2020, Jersch again succeeded in entering the Hamburg Parliament .

Jersch works as a programmer, is single and lives in Bergedorf.
