Stephan Lermer

Stephan Lermer (born February 6, 1949 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German psychologist , psychotherapist , coach and author .

Live and act

After a business management training as a systems analyst in Munich Lermer 1970 began studying psychology and philosophy in Regensburg, a diploma he received in 1974. 1977 doctorate he became Dr. rer. biol. hum. at the Faculty of Theoretical Medicine at Ulm University . As an employee of the Research Center for Psychotherapy Stuttgart, his doctoral thesis on the subject of “body language” was supervised by Helmut Enke , the head of the research center. Lermer completed a psychodrama training with Heika Straub.

Since 1981 Lermer has headed the "Institute for Personality and Communication" he founded in Munich for coaching, couple counseling, psychotherapy, training and research. Lermer appeared as a representative of positive psychology and as a happiness researcher in around 1,000 television programs and some of his own radio programs. He is referring to Albert Schweitzer , according to which happy people are more successful .

Lermer lives in the Bavarian Oberland near Lake Starnberg. He was married to the psychologist Eva Lermer for 24 years. They have a daughter together.
