Stephan Radinger

Stephan Radinger (born October 20, 1914 in Steyr , Upper Austria ; † December 6, 2005 there ) was an Austrian politician .

Life

After attending grammar school and obtaining the Matura in 1933, Radinger studied educational science at the University of Vienna . As a professor of Latin and English , he then found work at the grammar school in Steyr. In 1967 Radinger was appointed state school inspector for Upper Austria and was given the title of councilor .

In 1959 Radinger was elected to the Steyr municipal council for the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) , of which he was a member until 1968. Most recently he held the post of Vice Mayor of the district capital from 1967 to 1968. In October 1968 Radinger became a member of his party, the SPÖ, to the National Council , where he held a mandate for eleven years until June 1979. At the same time Radinger became a member of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg , to which the SP politician belonged from July 1970 to October 1979.
