Stephan Richter (journalist)

Stephan Richter (born September 18, 1950 ) is a German journalist .

Life

After completing his internship , Richter worked as a senior editor at various newspapers such as the Osnabrücker Zeitung and the Mannheimer Morgen . From 1990 to 2011 he was editor-in-chief of the Schleswig-Holstein newspaper publisher (sh: z) in Flensburg .

Since 2006 Richter has been on the board of the Freundeskreis Schloss Gottorf , which supports the work of the Schleswig-Holstein State Museum for Art and Cultural History .

Honors

In 2000, Federal President Johannes Rau was appointed judge for the special merits in promoting historical awareness that he had acquired as the initiator and implementer of the “Century Story”, during which 42 chapters of the history of Schleswig in the newspapers of the sh: z for weeks -Holsteins have been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

In 2009 he received the Order of Merit of the State of Schleswig-Holstein from the Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein , Peter Harry Carstensen, for “his extraordinary commitment to social life in Schleswig-Holstein and the reputation of the state and its institutions” .
