Stephan Schlak

Stephan Schlak (* 1974 ) is a German political scientist and historian .

Life

Schlak studied history, political science, economics and philosophy in Münster and Berlin . After completing a master's thesis on historiography in the George Circle , he worked as a freelance literary critic in Berlin from 2001 to 2004. From 2004 to 2007 he was a research assistant in Herfried Münkler's "Theory of Politics" department at the Humboldt University in Berlin. There he received his doctorate in 2008 with a thesis on Wilhelm Hennis . Since 2009 he has been the editor in charge of the “ Zeitschrift für Ideengeschichte ” at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin .
