Stephan Serin

Stephan Serin (born May 17, 1978 in Berlin , actually Stephan Zeisig) is a German author and teacher .

Serine studied after high school in Potsdam and Pau studying French and political education on teacher training and has worked as a teacher.

Since 2000 he has been a member of the Berlin Lesebühne Chaussee der Enthusiasten . In 2010 his book Föhn mich nicht zu was published , in which he ironically describes the life and needs of a trainee. It came in at number 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list paperback - non-fiction .

The follow-up book Must know, you know! News from the lowlands of German classrooms was devoted to the difficulties the narrator, now a substitute teacher at various Berlin schools, had to contend with after completing his legal clerkship.

Serin's first novel, Pretty Bad Friends , was published in June 2014 . It is about two dissimilar German students who spend an Erasmus year together in Pau in southern France.
