Stephan Stetter

Stephan Stetter (born October 9, 1972 ) is a German political scientist .

He is Professor of International Politics and Conflict Research at the University of the Bundeswehr in Munich .

Life

Stetter graduated from high school in Weinheim in 1992 and did community service in the local Protestant Diakonia station. He then studied political science in Heidelberg until 1996, with sociology and history as a minor . In 1997 he spent a year on an exchange at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem . From 1998 to 2004 he received his PhD in the Department of Government at the London School of Economics and Political Science . After further positions at Bielefeld University and since 2000 a consultancy in the Middle East Department of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung , he was appointed to a W3 professorship for international politics and conflict research at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in 2008 .
