Stephan Wellenhofer
Stephan Wellenhofer (born February 9, 1895 - † September 5, 1980 ) was a German Catholic clergyman.
Career
Wellenhofer graduated from the Wilhelmsgymnasium in Munich in 1914 . He was ordained a priest on April 13, 1919. He was curate, president and later diocesan pastor in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising . In this function he cared for young people and the physically handicapped with great commitment. In 1926 he founded the Piccolo Club for apprentices in the hotel and catering trade . From 1948 to 1966 he was the parish priest in Munich. Many letters in the 2005 collection of sources, From Field Post Letters by Young Christians 1939-1945, come from the Wellenhofer estate in the Hardehausen youth center.
