Stephen Lee (born January 5, 1978 in Brisbane ) is a former Australian short tracker .

Career

Lee started for the first time in the World Cup in October 2000 in Calgary and finished 32nd in the 1500 m. At the following World Cup in Provo he got his first World Cup points with 22nd place over 1000 m. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City , he was sixth with the 5000 meter relay. He achieved his best placement in the World Cup in the 2002/03 season in Chuncheon with 18th place over 1500 m. In March 2005 he finished 47th over 500 m at the Short Track World Championships in Beijing , 41st place in all-around, 38th place over 1000 m and 32nd place over 1500 m. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , he was part of Australia's 5000 meter relay , which won the B final against the German relay and thus reached sixth place. He ended his career after the 2005/06 season.
