Stephen Walter Leigh (* 27. February 1951 in Cincinnati ) is an American science fiction - and fantasy - writers , artists and musicians.

biography

Stephen Leight lives in his hometown, plays the guitar and sings in the band Toast. He also works as a lecturer at Northern Kentucky University , teaching creative writing. He has published his writings as Stephen Leigh , SL Farrell, and once as Matthew Farrell . In addition to his novels, he wrote a lot of short stories and a few essays.

Honors

Leigh's novel Dark Water's Embrace won the Gaylactic Spectrum Award in 1999 and was nominated for the James Tiptree, Jr. Award that year . Speaking Stones was also nominated for the Tiptree Award. His first novel Slow Fall to Dawn was among the top ten for the Locus Award for best first novel. As a guest of honor at the 43rd Bubonicon, Leigh was interviewed for MTV Geek Coverage about working on the Wild Cards series. A special one-shot conference called Applecon was held in Minneapolis from April 11-13, 2008 in his honor. The Congress listed as Guest of Honor of Music Stephen Leigh, Guest of Honor of Writer SL Farrell, Artist Guest of Honor Sleigh, Fan Guest of Honor Steve. All names and pseudonyms of Stephen Leigh.
