Stephen McGann
Stephen McGann (born February 2, 1963 in Liverpool ) is a British actor .
Life
Although his parents weren't artists - his father worked in a factory and his mother was a teacher - Stephen McGann became actors, as did his three brothers Joe McGann , Paul McGann, and Mark McGann .
He began his career in the early 1980s and first appeared on stage for the musical Yakety Yak . In 1989 he took on the role of Mickey in the musical Blood Brothers .
Parallel to the stage work, she also made her first appearances in film and television. In 1991 he was seen in the miniseries The Strauss Dynasty as Johann Strauss' son . In 1996 he portrayed the Russian officer Grigori Orlow in the television film Catherine the Great . From 1999 to 2001, he played the role of Sean Reynolds in the television series Emmerdale Farm .
Since 2012, McGann has appeared in the BBC television series Call the Midwife as Dr. See Turner .
His marriage to screenwriter Heidi Thomas in 1990 had a son. The family lives in Saffron Walden .
