Stereopony ( Japanese ス テ レ オ ポ ニ ー , Sutereoponī ) was a Japanese rock band that was founded in Okinawa in 2007 and dissolved in 2012. You were under contract with Sony Music Entertainment Japan .

They released twelve singles, three studio albums and one best-of album.

The band became known for their song Hitohira no Hanabira ( ヒ ト ヒ ラ の ハ ナ ビ ラ ), which was used in 2008 for the 17th credits of the anime series Bleach . They also played the second opening title of the anime series Kidō Senshi Gundam 00 Namida no Mukō ( 泪 の ム コ ウ ) and in 2009 the opening title of the second season of Darker than Black: Ryūsei no Gemini Tsukiakari no Michishirube ( ツ キ ア カ リ の ミ チ シ ル ベ ).

I do it was created in collaboration with Yui , who was on vacation in Okinawa during this time. They also covered her song again on the tribute album in honor of Yuis She Loves You .

On October 2, 2012, the band announced their breakup. On October 24, 2012 their last single Just rock with me / Namida Nante Mishite Yannai was released , which was created with the guitarist Evan Taubenfeld and released under the band name Evanpony . They gave their farewell concert ( Stereopony Final Live - Best of Stereopony ) on December 27, 2012.
