Sterling (own spelling: STERLiNG, also STERLiNG (CH) or STERLiNG (Swiss)) is a rock music project from Eastern Switzerland .
history
STERLiNG was founded in 1985 in St. Gallen as a rock band by bassist Patrick Doba. He has been the only permanent member of STERLiNG since the beginning.
Between 1987 and 2012, various studio recordings were made with variable line-ups, with numerous appearances - including with Uriah Heep , Krokus , Whitesnake , Smokie , Doro , Philipp Fankhauser , Daniel Kandlbauer , Bonfire , The Sweet and Transit .
In the spring of 2019, a reform took place by Patrick Doba, which led to the current line-up of STERLiNG.
style
STERLiNG plays their own compositions, the majority of which can be attributed to adult oriented rock .
