Stettbach is a district in the Zurich municipality of Dübendorf , Switzerland . Stettbach is located at the foot of the Zürichberg on the western border of Dübendorf, bordering the Schwamendingen district of the city of Zurich .
history
Already in Roman times there was a traffic route from Stettbach via Wil and Hermikon to Uster .
In the Middle Ages , the hamlet was on an important traffic artery, the road connection between the city of Zurich and the Zurich Oberland .
Location description
There are around three dozen residential buildings in the hamlet of Stettbach. Today around 300 people are said to live in Stettbach. The Sagentobelbach runs right through the center .
The main road from Schwamendingen runs around 300 meters north of the historic center. After a final stop of trams in 1986 1990 was Stettbach the train opened. As a result, numerous companies also settled in Stettbach, such as the Credit Suisse bank and the Helsana health insurance company .
