Steve Allen (born 1957 in Liverpool , Great Britain ) is a pop singer who had a hit with Letter from My Heart in 1985 .
biography
Steve Allen, the son of a jazz singer, attended art school in his hometown of Liverpool. In the late 1970s he formed the group Deaf School under the pseudonym Enrico Cadillac , of which he became the lead singer .
Between 1980 and 1981 he sang with the Original Mirrors , with whom he appeared in the opening act during Roxy Music's Flesh & Blood tour. He also worked on recordings for Clive Langer & the Boxes , which also supported him in his solo ambitions .
Between 1984 and 1989, the Brit recorded various singles , mostly with Italian producers . He was only able to record a chart success in Germany when Letter from My Heart reached number 22 on the hit parade in 1985 .
