Steve Arrington (born March 5, 1956 in Great Lakes , Illinois ) is an American singer , songwriter and drummer .

Arrington grew up in Dayton , Ohio. He started playing drums when he was ten. After high school he studied with Coke Scovedo, the uncle of Sheila E. , percussion and performed with the band on. He joined the radio band Slave in 1979 . After leaving, he founded the band Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame in 1982. In 1985 he made his solo debut under the title Dancin 'in the Key of Life . With the single Feel so Real , he achieved his greatest chart success in Germany and was placed in the top 20 in Europe. After the second less successful single Dancing in the Key of Life , he ended his music career.

Steve Arrington has been a priest in Kettering , Ohio since 1987 .
