Steve Barclay
Steve Barclay (born November 20, 1918 in Baltimore , Maryland , † February 2, 1994 in Rome ) was an American actor .
Life
Barclay graduated from the University of Los Angeles with a degree in journalism and earned his living in various professions and with various activities until he was employed as a photo model, where he used his sporty appearance and athletic figure in such a way that the film industry noticed him . From 1943 on he made a number of films, but did not find a niche in the studio system and smaller B-films and took the opportunity to take on the leading roles in Italian adventure films at the beginning of the 1950s . Although these films were mostly financially modest, they were solidly made and brought in their money again.
Also listed as "Stephen Barclay", he was u. a. Partner of Sophia Loren , ended his acting career in 1953 - with one exception in 1956. In 1964 he was one of the screenwriters of the thriller L'intrigo . He earned his living with contracts in the advertising industry.
