Steve Holmes (born March 23, 1961 in Sibiu , Romania ) is a Romanian- German porn actor of Transylvanian-Saxon origin. He chose his stage name based on John Holmes , the most famous porn star of the 1970s.

Holmes appeared in his first pornographic film on November 22, 1996 . In a short time he rose to become one of the most frequently booked actors in the German porn industry. However, since 2002 he has lived and worked mainly in Budapest and Los Angeles . Between 1996 and 2019 he acted in over 2,000 films.

For his role in Private Black Label: Eternal Love , Holmes was awarded the prize for best supporting actor at the Festival Internacional de Cine Erotico in Barcelona in 2001. At the AVN Awards in Las Vegas in 2005 and 2006, he received the award for best male actor from abroad. There are also numerous industry-internal awards in Berlin , Brussels and Belgrade .

Since 2003 Holmes has also worked as a director of porn films.
