Steven William Morison (born August 29, 1983 in London ) is a Welsh football player who has been under contract with Leeds United since 2013 . In 2010 he made his first appearance in the Welsh national team.

Club career

Northampton Town

Steve Morison started his playing career in 2001 at Northampton Town , for which he had already been active in his youth. Since he had not come as hoped for use in the following three years, he moved to the amateur club FC Bishop's Stortford at the end of December 2004 . There, Morison (45 games / 28 goals) demonstrated his accuracy in a year and a half, before Stevenage FC signed him on August 18, 2006 . In Stevenage he spent the next three years in the Football Conference .

Millwall FC

On July 1, 2009, Steve Morison returned to professional football when Millwall FC signed him for £ 150,000 transfer fee. The 2009/10 season in the third-rate Football League One was successful for both him and the club. Morison scored 20 goals in 43 games and rose together with Norwich City and Leeds United in the Football League Championship . In the 2010/11 season Morison (40 games / 15 goals) achieved relegation sovereign with his team and distinguished himself as one of the top scorers in the second division.

Norwich City

On June 6, 2011, Steve Morison signed a three-year contract with the Premier League promoted Norwich City .

Leeds United

On January 31, 2013 Morison moved to the second division Leeds United .

National team

Through his grandmother, who was born in Wales , Morison was eligible to play for the Welsh national team . On August 11, 2010 he made his debut in the senior squad against Luxembourg .
