Steven McLean (born April 1, 1981 ) is a Scottish football referee . His brother Brian McLean is a professional footballer.
Career
Steven McLean became a referee in 1997 and has directed games within the Scottish Football League since 2003 . From 2007 he whistled games in the First Division, the Scottish Premier League and the later Scottish Premiership . From 2010 the Scot will also be serving as a FIFA referee in European Cups and international matches.
In the 2013/14 season , McLean headed the final of the Scottish League Cup as a referee . In May 2016 he will whistle the final of the Scottish Cup.
