Steven Mouyokolo (born January 24, 1987 in Melun ) is a French football player who is mainly used in defense .

Career

Mouyokolo was born in Melun. His professional career began at LB Châteauroux in the French second division, where he did not play a single game. After a convincing season at FC Gueugnon , he moved to US Boulogne in 2008 . In the first half of the 2008/09 season, Mouyokolo had a major role in ensuring that the team established itself in the top half of the table by December. His ideas were not hidden from various Premier League clubs that wanted to sign him. Eventually, despite Arsenal's interest, Hull City made the running and announced their signing on January 30, 2009. He finished the season with US Boulogne before signing a two-year deal with Hull City on June 2, 2009. With Boulogne he had previously risen to the top French league for the first time in the club's history. After only one year at Hull City, Mouyokolo moved to the Wolverhampton Wanderers , where he was only used sporadically. In January 2013, the contract was terminated, whereupon he signed after a brief absence from association in July of the same year with Celtic Glasgow .
