Steven O'Dor (born January 28, 1987 in Melbourne ) is an Australian football player.

Club career

O'Dor played for South Melbourne FC for the first time in 2005 in the Victorian Premier League , the top division of the state of Victoria . In 2006 he attended the Australian Institute of Sport for a year and then signed a contract with the New Zealand A-League club New Zealand Knights , for which he came to three missions. After the Knights ceased to play at the end of the season, he returned to Melbourne for a few months before he received a contract offer for two years from the newly founded Knights successor Wellington Phoenix .

After completing his first season at Wellington, in which he came to 13 missions, he was forced to terminate his contract because of a letter from Deakin University , where he is enrolled in the subjects of "law" and "commerce". The university informed him that if he was absent again, he would lose his place at university. Since O'Dor had already two years of the four-year course behind him, he decided to leave professional football temporarily and returned to the University of Melbourne, where he will play again for South Melbourne.

National team

O'Dor made his debut in the Australian U-20 team in 2006 and took part with the team in the 2006 U-19 Asian Football Championship in India. There they failed in the quarter-finals against South Korea. In 2007 he was used for the Olympic team in a qualifier against Taiwan .
