The Steyr IV is a car of the middle class , which the Oesterreichische Waffenfabriks Society (from 1926: Steyr-Werke ) to complement the large model II brought out the 1,922th It was intended for the larger group of buyers in the middle class, but did not really go down there.
The car had a 4-cylinder sv in-line engine installed at the front, which powered the rear wheels via a 4-speed gearbox. Until 1924, only 950 copies of this vehicle - also known as 7/23 hp - were produced.
