The Steyr VII is a car of the luxury class , which the Oesterreichische Waffenfabriks Society (from 1926: Steyr-Werke ) as the successor of the model V brought out the 1925th The car was based on the design of its predecessor, but had a slightly wider track and a more powerful engine.

It had a 6-cylinder OHC in-line engine installed at the front, which drove the rear wheels via a 4-speed gearbox. By 1929, 2150 copies of this vehicle - also known as 12/50 hp - were produced.
