Stickman Records is a Hamburg independent label that was founded in 1994.
history
Originally at home in Nuremberg, the sole purpose was initially to distribute and market the musical products of the Norwegian band Motorpsycho . Stickman was founded by the band together with Ralf and Jeanette Gustavus. Over the years, other artists were added, but all of them had to be found suitable first by Motorpsycho itself. Two years after the label was founded, a sub-label called Sticksister was set up, which was more geared towards modern music (such as indie rock or emo ), as the main label has a tendency towards "retro" bands. Here, for example, the band Slut found a stepping stone into the major music industry.
Ralf and Jeanette also run a mail order and demo tapes are accepted and listened to at any time. However, they are not actively looking for new bands as they are very pleased with their status as a small record company bringing good alternative music to the people. And Motorpsycho still have the last word when signing .
Stickman publications are distributed in Germany by Soulfood .
