Fireside are a rock band from northern Sweden . They come from the hardcore scene , but their music has changed over time and has incorporated stylistic elements from different genres (also outside of rock music ), whereby the sound of individual albums still varies considerably.

Band history

Fireside were founded in Luleå , but the band members soon moved to Stockholm . For their second album Do Not Tailgate from 1995 they won a Swedish Grammy in the rock category. In the USA this album was then released by Rick Rubins label American Recordings . The following year they were the first Swedish band ever to take part in the Lollapalooza Festival.

While the first albums were self-produced (guitarist Pelle Gunnerfeldt has his own studio, in which he has already recorded with the Hives and Last Days of April , among others ), Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm from The Soundtrack Of Our Lives took the fifth regular album Get Shot on.

Kristofer Åström has recorded several solo albums outside of Fireside. The music on it is often compared to that of Elliott Smith .
