Cosmic Casino was a rock band from Munich, founded in 1999 .
history
Cosmic Casino was founded in 1999 by Markus Schäfer and made its first big appearance in front of the stereophonics in October 2001, after the first demos were recorded in February . The next day, October 11, the band was signed by the tour operator Target Concerts . In 2002 several tours followed in support of bands such as The Hives , Mother Tongue , Sportfreunde Stiller , Slut , Such a Surge and Favez . During the tour breaks, the band recorded their first EP Boy in a Band T-Shirt on their own, without a record deal , which was released on Blickpunkt Pop in November . Shortly thereafter, drummer Rolph left the band, but a replacement was quickly found in Mesut Gürsoy. In 2003 the band played with Aereogramme and National Anthems , and played their first festivals and their own headlining shows. On January 24, 2005, the album Be Kind & Be Cause, recorded in 2004, was released . In addition to 70 other live appearances in 2005, Cosmic Casino played 4 shows in Amsterdam and London in September together with sports friends Stiller and Monta , 3 of which were sold out. On May 5, 2006, the second album Ballads for Bastards was released .
On September 5, 2007, singer Rich Goerlich left the band for personal reasons.
On February 6, 2008, the remaining members announced the breakup of the band. Markus Schäfer, Nicolas Sierig and Bennie Benson founded the band Instrument .
