aims

The Brändi Foundation has three main objectives.

  1. Quality of life: People with mental or physical disabilities should be given the opportunity to work, train and live as independently as possible.
  2. Individuality: People with disabilities should be able to lead a self-determined life. Care is offered to them where it is necessary.
  3. Regionality: The foundation's companies should be easy to reach, the way to work should be short and the people involved should be anchored in familiar surroundings.

financing

The foundation is financed through personal contributions, training contributions and contributions from performance contracts. Self-financing makes up a substantial part of income at 52 percent. Further contributions are made by the Swiss disability insurance with the compensation for training services and the canton of Lucerne and Lucerne municipalities for the remuneration of service contracts that comply with the law on social institutions (SEG).

Focus

Protected jobs and training positions

The foundation offers sheltered jobs and apprenticeships. From special schools , people come to the foundation's companies who cannot find a training or job in the private sector. In addition, there is a demand for sheltered jobs from people who are leaving the economy for various reasons .

Procurement of orders from industry and commerce

In order to be able to maintain the training and jobs for people with disabilities, the AWB companies of the foundation are responsible for procuring enough orders. The foundation meets the technological requirements of its clients and maintains long-term partnerships with companies that are regional, national and global.

Residential and leisure offers

The foundation promotes the independence and personal responsibility of people with disabilities in the living and leisure sector. The foundation strives for the greatest possible independence for people with disabilities. The foundation sees challenges for future engagements in the increasing life expectancy, the collapsing social networks, the increasing demand for individual housing options and the lack of retirement homes and day structures for older people with disabilities.
