Yasuyo Imabeppu

Yasuyo Imabeppu ( Japanese 今 別 府 靖 代 , Imabeppu Yasuyo ; born May 18, 1984 in Nara Prefecture ) is a Japanese badminton player .

Career

She is the sister of badminton player Kaori Imabeppu and, like her, first attended Katashio Middle School in Yamatotakada and then Yamada High School in Aomori . She had her first successes in 2001 at the Badminton High School Championship ( 高校 選 抜 , kōkō sembatsu ) where she reached second place in the group ranking and at the Inter-High High School Championship ( 高校 総 体 , kōkō sōtai ) where she was among the last 16 in doubles was. The following year she finished second in the All-Japanese Junior Badminton Championship in doubles. In 2003 she joined the company Yonex for whose factory team she has played since then. In 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2010, she finished second in the All-Japanese Badminton Championships for adults in doubles. At the General Badminton Championships she reached second and third place in doubles in 2004 and 2009, respectively.

Yasuyo Imabeppu won the 2008 Australia Open in women's doubles with Shizuka Matsuo . In 2009 she was successful in the same discipline at Laos International and Canadian International , but this time with Aki Akao at her side. She also took part in the Russian White Nights 2009 International Challenge, where she came third in doubles.

In 2010 and 2011 she took part in the All-Japanese Badminton Championships for adults in doubles, where she came second and first with Atsuko Koike as a new partner.
