Stingray Classica (formerly: Unitel Classica ) is a television station that broadcasts classical music .

Sent concert recordings , operas - and ballet performances in the field of popular classical music , but also rarities from all eras and styles, such as early music , baroque , classical, romantic and contemporary music through to jazz . Documentaries are also broadcast.

Unitel Classica is produced by Classica GmbH based in Oberhaching near Munich , a subsidiary of Jan Mojtos Unitel GmbH & Co.KG , and distributed digitally via satellite and cable . The program can be received all day with various providers, but with Sky only daily from 8:05 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

An HD version of the station can be received in Germany at Unitymedia , Telekom Entertain and NetCologne and in Switzerland at Swisscom .

From November 2015, Classica can only be received via Sky via DVB-S2.

Unitel Classica now has branches in Italy , Spain and Japan, among others .

In 2017, the Canadian Stingray Digital Classica bought from Unitel and launched a Canadian version of Stingray Classica . Except for the Italian and Japanese versions of Unitel Classica, all variants were renamed Stingray Classica in spring 2018 . The new Stingray Classica website provides an overview of all global versions of the station.
