Thrust ax
A Stoßaxt is a tool of the carpenter . It is a mixture of a chisel and an ax or hatchet and belongs to the " pry tools "
The use as an ax in carpentry , in which a log was attached to the handle (transverse spout ), can hardly be found today. In the name you can still recognize this purpose.
