The Stockton Peak is a 1460 m high, sharp-edged and mainly ice-covered mountain peak in the Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises on the southern flank of the upper section of the Murrish Glacier about 10 km west-northwest of Cat Ridge .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1976 after the biologist William L. Stockton of the University of California, Davis , who was a participant in the United States Antarctic Research Program in 1972 at Palmer Station .
