The Stone Point is a headland with a small barrier island on the northeastern end of the Antarctic Peninsula . It marks the south side of the entrance to Hope Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1954 after Henry William Stone (* 1914) from St. John’s , Canada , first mate on board the survey vessel Trepassey in service of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey between 1946 and 1947.
