The Stoneley Point is a rocky headland on the north west coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located 6 km west of Brandy Bay and marks the northeast boundary of the entrance from the Prince Gustav Canal into Whiskey Bay .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named them on September 4, 1957 after Robert Stoneley (1929-2008), geologist of the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey at the station in Hope Bay in 1952.
