The Rink Point (English for ice rink tip ) is a rocky headland on the northwest coast of the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is located 3 km east of Carlson Island and marks the south-western limit of the entrance from the Prince Gustav Canal into Whiskey Bay .
Scientists from the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey gave it its name in August 1952. It was named after a mirror-smooth ice surface that surrounded the headland at that time and was reminiscent of an ice rink .
