Stony Hill is a small town in southeast Jamaica . The city is located in County Surrey in the Parish Saint Andrew . In 2010, Stony Hill had a population of 8,361 people.
geography
Stoney Hill is directly adjacent to Kingston , the island's capital. It is located between the two localities Golden Spring , north of the city, and Constant Spring which is between the town and Kingston in the south. Together with other localities, they form the largest metropolitan area of Jamaica.
To the east of Stony Hill are the Blue Mountains . The altitude of the place varies between 300 and 500 meters above sea level.
economy & Administration and Management
Stony Hill is the St. Andrew Juvenile Remand Center of the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) an administrative unit of the Ministry of National Security (MNS) of Jamaica.
To the east of the city is the Hermitage Dam, which was completed in 1900.
