The Storknolten ( Norwegian for Great Hill ) is a mountain in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . At the southern end of the Filchnerberge in Orvinfjella, it rises 1.5 km west of the Johannes Müller ridge .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
