Amelia Rose Watkinson (born September 14, 1991 ) is a triathlete from New Zealand . She is a three-time New Zealand champion in the triathlon middle distance (2016-2018).

Career

Amelia Watkinson was triathlon world champion in the age group 20-24 on the long distance (4 km swimming, 120 km cycling and 30 km running) in July 2012.

She has lived mostly in Thailand since 2014 and has started as a professional athlete since 2015. In January 2016 she became national champion in the triathlon middle distance and was able to repeat this success in 2017 and again in 2018.
She was also able to successfully defend her 2016 title at the Laguna Phuket Triathlon on the short distance in November 2017.
