Fredrik Croneborg (born November 6, 1980 in Sundbornsbyn ) is a former Swedish triathlete and Ironman winner (2016).

Career

Fredrik Croneborg studied at Högskolan i Gävle . Before he started triathlon, Croneborg was active in golf and long distance running. In July 2000 he finished 25th at the Junior European Triathlon Championship in the Netherlands.

In 2010 he was able to reach 15th place at the world championship on the long distance in Immenstadt. In 2012 he won the Tour of Egat Kanchanaburi in cycling in Thailand .

Winner Challenge Atlantic City

In June 2014 he won the Challenge Atlantic City on the long distance triathlon . Since the beginning of 2015 he starts for the newly founded Bahrain Elite Endurance Triathlon Team , which is led by Chris McCormack .

Winner Ironman 2016

In Indonesia, the then 35-year-old won the Ironman 70.3 Bintan in August 2016 and in November he won his first Ironman race at Ironman Malaysia . Since 2018, Croneborg no longer appears internationally.

Fredrik Croneborg is in a relationship with the German triathlete Katja Rabe (* 1978) and lives in Dalarna, Sweden .
