The Storkvæven ( Norwegian for Cauldron is) an icy mountain basin in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . Near the southern end of Sverdrupfjella , it is on the northwest side of Nupskåpa .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped the mountain basin based on aerial photographs and measurements of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (NBSAE, 1949–1952) and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) taken between 1958 and 1959 .
