The Strømmebakken ( Norwegian is) a 9 km long glacier slope of Heimefrontfjella in East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is located at the northeast end of the Kottas Mountains .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1987 after the Norwegian postal worker Inger Johanne Strømme (1915–1990), a leader in the resistance against the German occupation of Norway in World War II .
