Network plan

The Murcia tram in the Spanish city of Murcia has been in trial operation for a short section since 2007. The rest of the network is still under construction and in planning. Four lines with the numbers 1 to 4 are configured.

The first line was opened on May 28, 2011:

  • Plaza Circular - Nueva Condomina
  • Plaza Circular - Campus Universitario
  • Plaza Circular - La Ñora

A short stretch of four stops along Avenida Juan Carlos I has been in trial operation since May 2, 2007. Two Citadis 302 vehicles from Alstom are used for this. A temporary depot is available for them at the end of the route.

During rush hour there is a train every ten minutes, outside of it every twenty minutes. Transport during the trial run is free.
