As Stradower ponds ( Lower Sorbian Tšadojske gaty ) are ponds of a fish farm north of Stradow in Spreewald referred.

The ponds were created around 1900 and are still used today for the fishing industry. Previously there were extensive swamp meadows in the area. Today the Gurkenradweg leads through the pond landscape. The Vetschauer Mühlenfließ runs east of the Stradower ponds . Today there are a total of nine ponds and four smaller pools. The total extension of the facility is around 600 m in north-south direction and around 400 m in west-east direction.

Of particular importance is the ecological quality of the area that is now part of an FFH area. In addition to storks and cormorants , gray herons , ospreys and sea ​​eagles also live here . The fire-bellied toad is also native.
