Stratford High Street is a Docklands Light Railway (DLR) station in the London Borough of Newham . It is in the Travelcard tariff zone 3, near the intersection of Bridge Road and Stratford High Street in the Stratford district .

The station opened on August 31, 2011, along with the branch line between Stratford International and Canning Town . The Jubilee Line runs parallel to the DLR tracks , but their trains do not stop here due to the lack of additional platforms.

There was a train station in the immediate vicinity for more than a hundred years . The Eastern Counties and Thames Junction Railway opened a rail line between Stratford and Canning Town in 1846 . On June 14, 1847, she also took the intermediate station Stratford Bridge into operation. The station opened up an adjacent fruit and vegetable market hall and was renamed Stratford Market on November 1, 1880 (at that time the line was owned by the Great Eastern Railway ) .

In 1892 the station was relocated by a few dozen meters when the line was expanded to double track. In 1898 he was named Stratford Market (West Ham) , in 1923 again the original name Stratford Market . Due to the low traffic and the short distance to Stratford, the station was closed on May 6, 1957 by British Rail . The red brick station building was preserved; after initially being vacant for a few years, it was renovated in 1975 and has been used commercially ever since. It has been a local monument since 2009.
