The striped fern- leaved gold thread ( Coptis aspleniifolia ) is a species of the genus Coptis in the buttercup family (Ranunculaceae).

The striped fern leaf gold thread is a perennial, herbaceous plant that reaches heights of up to 10 centimeters. It forms a light brown rhizome . The inflorescence consists of two or three flowers. The bracts and nectar leaves are colored the same. The nectar leaves are pointed, linear-lanceolate and narrow towards their end. In its lower half there is a nectarium .
The flowering time is in May.
Occurrence
The species is found in northwestern North America, Washington, British Columbia and Alaska. It grows in moist coniferous forests and swamps at altitudes from 0 to 1500 meters.
