history

fresco

The church was first mentioned in 1230. The basement of the east tower, which was originally a choir tower and in which the choir was located, as well as parts of the nave walls are Romanesque and were built around 1300. After 1439 the tower was raised and the nave was extended. In 1734 the tower was raised again. At the same time, the Gothic vault in the nave was removed and this extended to the west. In 1911 the neo-Romanesque choir was built in the west and at the same time the choir arch in the east was removed and the former choir in the tower was rededicated as the entrance hall.

The fresco in the church is by Paul Ledoux .
